1. What are the times for check-in and check-out?
Check-in is at 4pm. If you arrive before 4pm and your room
has already been cleaned, we’ll be happy to check you in early. Check-out is at 11am.
2. How does late check-in work?
Front desk staff is generally on property until 6 pm
weeknights and 8 pm Friday and Saturday nights. Our restaurant staff is able to
check you in until closing time, which is 9 pm or 10 pm. If you know you will be arriving
later than 9 pm, please contact us so that we can arrange to leave keys for your
arrival.
3. How does early check-out work?
Just put your room key in the key dropbox, located in the
main hotel entry breezeway. Your key deposit will credited back to your credit
card.
4. What is the key deposit for?
We still use old-fashioned keys for our rooms, and they
have a tendency to walk out in folks’ pockets. So we charge a $10 deposit.
After you check out and the key is turned in, we credit the $10 deposit back to
your credit card.
5. Why do you have a 2-week+ cancellation policy?
We are a small hotel in a small town, and we might have trouble filling a
last-minute cancellation. By holding a reservation that you later decide
to cancel, we may have turned away other guests wanting a room. This is
not an unusual policy for small innkeepers. Be sure to review our
policies page.
6. What hours are staff available for guest concerns?
Front desk staff and housekeeping are available from 8 am
until 6 pm.
7. Do you allow pets?
We allow dogs under 50 lbs with a $100 damage deposit.
This deposit is fully refundable if the room is not damaged or soiled by your
pet. As a courtesy to future guests, we ask that you not allow your dog on the
bed.
8. Do you allow children?
Yes, children are welcome! We regret that we don’t have
rollaway beds or cribs, however.
9. Do you have internet access?
In keeping with our rustic theme, our property does not
have internet access for guests. In emergency situations, we can check email
for you on a hotel computer. But remember, the idea is to get away from all
that!
10. What amenities does your hotel offer?
THEME ROOMS: We are a rustic hotel, so we offer just the
basics – shampoo, soap, towels. We fudged a little and put cable TVs in the
rooms, but we don’t have hairdryers, irons, clock radios, or refrigerators.
CASITA: This room also has a coffeemaker with complimentary
coffee.
CASUITA: The kitchen area has a small refrigerator, sink,
microwave and coffee maker with complimentary coffee.
11. Do you serve breakfast?
We generally provide complimentary hot coffee on Saturday
and Sunday mornings. We can recommend a few places in town where you can get a
full breakfast.
12. Do you allow smoking?
The interior rooms of our property are all non-smoking.
This includes hotel rooms, cantina and restaurant. However, guests are welcome
to smoke outside. There are ashtrays located outside the guest rooms for your
convenience, and our cantina and restaurant both have outdoor seating that
accommodates smokers.
13. What is there to do in Bandera?
Please see our pages on
things to do in Bandera and in the
surrounding area.
14. Are you Biker-friendly?
We are a biker-friendly place; all the bikers we’ve met
have been fun, polite folks. Bikers like to stay here since it’s such a pretty
drive getting here and You can park your bikes right on Main Street to show them
off, or you can park them inside our courtyard gates for extra security.
15. Is your property handicapped-accessible?
Our property was built in the 1940s, well before buildings
were designed according to ADA guidelines. So our property is not
recommended for those with disabilities. If you have specific concerns
about a stay here (stair climbing, etc.) please contact us for information.
